The lodge, twice as old as the village, was for generations the pride of Augustdorf and an important part of its and the whole Lippe region's identity. Many people here dearly wish to see it again.

Uppermost on the agenda is to work together with the British, since the lodge was located on what is now British sovereign territory, and this land is used by British and German forces.

The reconstruction could be a wonderful proof of positive co-operation, as the lodge would be a location for international social and cultural  

encounters on what will remain British sovereign territory. The transport connections, using existing roads, are ensured to have no negative impact whatsoever on the ecology of the region.
Lopshorn is an area protected by two European environment protection guidelines (FFH and Protection of birds) and can therefore only be used in compliance with them.

The role of the Lopshorn Lodge and Stud in the creation of the beautiful Senne landscape cannot be overestimated, and we aim to promote understanding of this in our efforts to reintegrate the hunting lodge into the British territory.
